Listen, I’m not going to sit here and tell you that Habs’ fans should be satisfied with Scott Gomez and his 32-point output so far this season.
I’m not going to try and convince you that the Canadiens are getting their money’s worth from Scott Gomez and his -15 rating.
However, those of you who think that Scott Gomez’ value to the Montreal Canadiens begins and ends with his production on the ice are sorely mistaken.
Let me take you back to the 2008-2009 off season, when then-general manager Bob Gainey rolled the dice and changed the face of this hockey team.
