NEW LIFE FOR EX HAB

Things haven’t exactly turned out as planned for Mike Komisarek, the big defenceman who left the Canadiens and joined the Leafs as a free-agent acqusition after the 2008-09 season.

From day one, game one, Komisarek has been an uncomfortable fit in Toronto.  His playing time has dwindled and, over the last dozen games or so, he’s been a healthy scratch more often than not.

However, Komisarek could have a new lease on his playing life with the decision by the Leafs to fire head coach Ron Wilson and replace him with Randy Carlyle, who will be behind the bench tonight when the Leafs take on the Canadiens at the Bell Centre.

Make sure you join us in the Locker Room tonight after 6pm to hear Mike Komisarek in his own words.

In addition, Mike Toth, from our sister station NewsTalk 1010 in Toronto joins us to look at the rocky road the Leafs have taken which currently finds Toronto out of a playoff spot, and the decision to fire Ron Wilson.  The question is: Can GM Brian Burke be far behind?

We’ll share some deja-vu with CJAD contributor Dave Stubbs from the Gazette and hockeyinsideout.com, PLUS, your chance to win a movie pass to see GOON.

All that, and more, coming up tonight: In the Locker Room.
