Alex Galchenyuk to the World Juniors: “It’s a no brainer” #HABS #NHL

It was a five-point night for Habs’ prospect Alex Galchenyuk: three goals and two assists as the Sarnia Sting beat the Kingston Frontenacs 7-4 in Ontario Hockey League action in Sarnia Saturday night.

Galchenyuk, Montreal’s first round draft pick this year, now has 27 goals and 34 assists in 61 points for the Sting.

In the hours leading up to last night’s game, Alex’s head coach and general manager, Jacques Beaulieu, joined me in The Locker Room, from 6-7.  Jacques talked about the the things he likes about Alex’s game, right now.

The topic of conversation then moved to Jacques’ son, Nathan, a defenceman with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.  Jacques spoke of the on-ice challenges his son is facing as a first-year pro within the Canadiens’ organization.
